Working on the cover to my artbook coming out this fall along with a few new pieces I've been thinking up. Skull face turned out to be a nice addition I like.

BTW I pinched a nerve in my lower back and have been in pain all day yet like a crazy person I still worked on this.

Here are some costume illustrations I did for Michelle Martini for ORANGE a company over in Europe. They all are pretty much the same except for the Bram Stroker-ish vampire (I guess because he was hanging upside down) but I still like how it turned out. Here is the finished commercial below IN FRENCH!

SUPERDRUNK finally done!!

This is one of the last group Illos that I started two years ago* and I finally dusted this one off and finished it today. I had the idea of a drunk superhero who could only use his powers within city limits. I'm glad I'm done with it.

*FYI I spent about 8 hours total painting it, the gap in time from start to finish is because of a bad relationship going on at the time and these reminded me too much of it so I hid them away.

I'm spending the day working on Wintermoon storyboards and greyscaling a bunch of them Later I'll editing them together on final cut with dialogue and music for a presentation package I'm putting together.

The Gunslinger

It took me almost two years to finish this. Damn I can't believe it but I finished it and boy am I glad to be done. This is another abandoned piece I got out of the way after life threw me a curve ball but I always finish what I start even if it took this long to do so. I'm sort of happy with it I tried some new tricks and don't know if I'm completely successful but you can decide. If you want to see the WIP check out the December of 06 posts.

Here's a Werewolf I designed for Uni about a year back. It's a tall costume and I had to design it around a person who wasn't going to be in stilts or lifts; and it was a bit of a challenge, notice the proportion lines. I'm a sucker for werewolves and it was the first one I designed to be fabricated so I'm really proud of it. I'll post the final costume soon.

UPDATE! I've added video of him in action. It's adorable.

I just finished the first draft of the new script I've been working on for the last couple months and now I'm on to the rewrites. But first I decide to give myself a treat and storyboard one of the scenes that has been stuck in my head while writing. I won't give any set up and just let the boards speak for themselves.

I grew up on a chicken farm and I think this is the first chicken based creature I ever drew, I wonder why that is? I'm totally swamped this week so it'll be interesting if I can keep these creatures coming. If I want to keep up with one a day they most likely won't be in color but you never know.

Now this is a dog I don't know if I would want to own, can you imagine the slobber of this pup? Yeesh! Well I'm sure I would grow to love the big guy. This marks another entry in my sketchbook devoted solely to monsters, I'm trying to be ambitious and add one a day. Can I do it? I guess time will tell.

Universal's Halloween Horror Nights

It's been a while since I've posted on blogspot, I've been terribly busy finishing up my movie Wasteland, writing more and working on other projects that I haven't had a chance to draw for myself. In the mean time here are the Go-Go designs from this years HHN at Universal. The show was a blast and better than last year I'll post more when I get the time. Speaking of which back to work!

His story is that he has superpowers but they only work within the city limits so he's kind of bored so he just drinks and flies around town being an ass.

I'm really getting into the western genre and mixing it up a bit with monsters. I think it'll be a fun blend and get me pumping out some interesting pieces. I'll end up painting this one for sure so if anybody is out there you're in for a treat.

Westerns are amazing and I love the gunslinger grenre so here is my take on a (deep breath) quasi-futuristic gunfighter in a postapocalypic wasteland who protects the townfolk against mutant monsters.(wheew!) This is an older drawing that I have always been meaning to color so now that I've been getting hang of the digital coloring here I go. Hopefully I can get this done before my mini vacation is over. Wish me luck!

After Three weeks of working on this piece in my spare time I'm finished! This is my first attempt painting a piece of this detail on the computer like this and I very happy with the way this turned out and I think if I keep painting like this I'll grow a lot as an artist. One thing though is I can't quite decide if I should include the heads in this piece or if I shoud leave them out. Let me know what you think.

You can't have monsters without some young teenage victims! I'm really happy how these two came out, I've been struggling at opaque painting for a bit and with these guys it just clicked. I'll be coloring all my concepts in this style from now on so be ready for some crazy pieces of art to be showing up!

I designed this little fella here for the Blizzard art contest I'm up against some stiff competition and I'm pretty sure I don't have a snowballs chance. At least I tried I have to get a lot more confident at coloring opaque in Photoshop and this is a step in the right direction, practice makes perfect.
